Rural Women Peace Link
Driving Change, Creating Impact.
Rural Women Peace Link (RWPL) is a grassroots, women-led organization dedicated to mobilizing, influencing, and empowering local women to take active roles in peacebuilding, governance, and community development. Founded on the principles of equality, inclusivity, and resilience, RWPL operates in the North Rift Valley and parts of western Kenya to address the challenges faced by women in conflict-prone areas.
Our mission is to contribute to the holistic development of women by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and platforms needed to drive sustainable peace and development in their communities.
Our Identity and Purpose
Our Pillars
At Rural Women Peace Link, our work is anchored on five key pillars that guide our mission to empower women and foster sustainable peace and development. These pillars represent the foundation of our efforts to address inequalities, build resilience, and inspire transformative change in the communities we serve.

Who we are
Our Approach
RWPL’s core strategy is grounded in community-driven solutions. We believe that sustainable change can only occur when communities are equipped with the knowledge and tools to advocate for their rights. Our programs stimulate the capacities of women and communities to demand accountability, access essential services, and address inequalities.
Our Mission
To mobilize, influence and promote the participation of grassroots women, youth and marginalized groups in peacebuilding, community governance and development through partnerships, collaboration and networking.
Our Vision
A well-informed, gender sensitive society that values practices and promotes peaceful co-existence for the impactful contribution of women, youth and marginalized groups in society.

RWPL has transformed my life and the lives of many women in my community. Through their economic empowerment programs, I was able to start my own business and provide for my family. They not only gave me tools but also instilled in me the confidence to believe in my abilities."
Jane A.Cherop
Beneficiary from Uasin Gishu County

The advocacy training I received from RWPL opened my eyes to my rights as a woman. I now actively participate in community forums and advocate for policies that benefit women and girls. RWPL has truly empowered me to be a voice for change."
Mary K
Community Leader, West Pokot County

Before RWPL intervened, our community was deeply divided by conflict. Their peacebuilding workshops and mediation efforts brought us together, helping us find common ground. Today, we live in harmony, and our children can grow up in a peaceful environment."
